Verizon passed up Apple iPhone deal

While Cingular (er, AT&T, but you know what we mean) couldn’t seem prouder of its iPhone exclusivity, apparently Apple’s first choice was Verizon, but the two companies couldn’t agree on a deal that worked for both companies.

Cisco’s iPhone in violation of GPL

Apparently, Cisco has not released source for the iPhone that was based off GPL code. The Cisco iPhone is linux based. A bit of a double standard to go after Apple for trademark infringement, yet doing copyright infringement of its own.

The “Free” iPhone Spam Has Already Started

I laughed when this appeared in my inbox. It seems like companies have already started sending out the “Signup and get a free iPhone” spam emails. For this particular one, they are promising Apples newly created device, even though it was mentioned less than 48 hours ago. The link contains the spam image.
